Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Length of the stay
You have agreed with your host, upon a fixed length of accommodation, and under no circumstances you have the right to stay in the premises when the stay is over.
Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Access to the network
As soon as you have definitively determined with us a reference in our data bank, your host, through Apartem (Parislodging for Paris), will make a reservation on his/her behalf including all the necessary details (date and hour of arrival, date of departure, address of your host...) and the corresponding invoice. Any reservation which is sent is considered as the result of negotiations between you and your host and is therefore considered as definitive. However, your reservation will be valid after you have sent to ParisLodging this invoice with your signature. If not, the reservation may be cancelled after 5 days. Your host will also receive a copy of your reservation so that he/she can welcome you. Once you and your host have been in contact, no third party can benefit from the rent, except if there is a written agreement from you and the owner of the flat. Any breach of this clause might result in the immediate termination of the lease to your detriment and you will have to pay penalties. Only the price indicated on the reservation is valid. The reservation fees will be paid directly to Apartem (Parislodging for Paris) by credit card, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard or American Express, by bank transfer or French check. The rent as well as the deposit must be handed over directly to the renter according to the modes of payment and the dates indicated on the reservation.
Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Cancellation/modification
As soon as we receive an email or other written confirmation, and in order to finalize your reservation, Apartem (Parislodging for Paris) will take from the credit card all of the charges concerning the reservation which are indicated on the contract for which no reimbursement will be possible . The rent, down payment and balance of your stay will be paid directly to your host according to the modes of payment and the dates indicated on your contract. For lack of dates, the balance will be paid to the renter 20 days before your arrival.(except in the case of reservations superior to one month. In this case, the rent will be paid at the beginning of each month). After this time limit, no reimbursement of the stay will be made. If you want to cancel your reservation 20 days before your arrival, you must confirm to your host by recorded delivery so that you do not have to pay the balance of your reservation, but the charges and down payment already paid won't be reimbursed. Only the modifications of the reservations (dates, number of people...) which do not result in a reduction of the price will be taken into account, if possible, in return of reservation fees. If you cancel once you have arrived, the amount will not be reimbursed. In the case of cancellation by your host, or if he is missing, after the reservation was sent, he must find equivalent or better accommodation or reimburse the whole payment, if no other similar address suits you.
Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Arriving at the premises
When arriving, go directly to the address indicated on the reservation or call your host to indicate your hour of arrival. If you arrive to your place or leave it before or after the hour fixed at the time of your reservation was established (1 hour delay is allowed), your host can miss you. If the number of guests exceeds the number expected (including animals), your host may refuse the additional people. In case of robbery with breaking and entering into the premisses you have rented, or power cut, water cut, disturbing neighbourhood, for which the owner and Apartem (Parislodging for Paris) are not responsible, there will be no compensation. The flat will be left clean and the machines (TV, washing-machine…) will be in a good state of functioning. You must sign the inventory of fixtures when you arrive and when you leave. This inventory is the only reference in case of litigation between the two parties concerning the state of the premises. ParisLodging as holder of the data bank and representative of your host is not responsible for the different problems which might occur between you and your host, nor for the payment of possible additional service charges you asked for. If, in spite of numerous precautions, the flat does not correspond to its description, ParisLodging is not responsible for a misdemeanour due to the owner (dissimulation, omission, hidden, problems…)
Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Using the premises
You must ensure that there is no disorderly conduct and that the flat is used in a correct way. In the case of damage or problems requiring repairs for which you are responsible, you will be liable for replacement or financial solution.
You will have to pay your host, at the end of your stay, for extra charges which are not included in the price of the rent. The amount will then be established on the basis of calculation currently used in France. This price includes electricity, gas and water . The cleanliness of the flat at your arrival will be stated in the inventory of fixtures. You are responsible for the cleanliness of the flat during your stay and before you leave. If it is necessary to clean it again after your departure, it should be indicated on the inventory of fixtures and the amount would be taken from your credit card. However, in case of serious and voluntary damage through your own doing, ParisLodging will start legal proceedings against you for damages.
Private apartment rental in Paris and in France : Insurance
At the time of your reservation, we recommend to decide upon our cancellation and short-term rental insurance policy. Thus, by paying the percentage on the total rent indicated on your reservation, you will be reimbursed for your advance payment, you won't have to pay the rest of the rent in case of cancellation, and you will be remitted for all the damage done in the flat, except for deliberate damage, vandalism, robbery (see the here enclosed general conditions). The amount of this policy will be taken from your credit card at the same time as the balance outstanding of your invoice. If you don't decide upon our insurance policy, please send us a certificate from your insurance company covering you against the risks linked to your vacation.

Not respecting any of these articles may lead to legal proceedings, according to the seriousness of the facts, before the court of Paris concerned.
